Health Benefits of Yoghurt


I eat yoghurt, at least a portion a day. One because I am very health conscious, and two is that I actually do like yoghurt. Here are some of the health benefits that drive me to have some yoghurt every day.
Calcium
Nutritionists have been discouraging us from taking milk. It curdles in your stomach and is not easily digestible. How else do you get the nutrients found in milk? Yoghurt is the solution. Yoghurt is easily digestible, it is actually advisable to take some yoghurt when you feel queasy in the stomach. It has some good-for-you bacteria that help crowd out harmful microorganisms that can cause intestinal infections.
Lower Cholesterol
Have yoghurt lower the blood cholesterol. Yoghurt has live cultures that assimilate the cholesterol in your body lowering cholesterol levels. I have a habit of having some yoghurt after I eat greasy food, it breaks down the fats easing digestion.
Yeast Infections
Ladies, you know when occasionally you get the ever so uncomfortable yeast infections? Having your lady parts itchy is so uncomfortable and can be prevented. Regular intake of yoghurt has the live cultures that reduce the yeast colonies in your vagina creating a balance and reducing yeast infections. This is also aided by lower consumption of sugars; it is therefore advisable that you consume natural yoghurt.
Weight loss
Incorporate yoghurt in your diet if you are trying to lose weight. Substitute yoghurt for a snack and notice the difference. It helps shed off fats especially belly fat. Not only do you get the health benefits but you also avoid a snack full of calories.
